We enjoyed La Padrona for a birthday celebration and overall it was good with just a few glitches. I find when dining at this price point I expect both the food and service to be great. Big fan of Jody Adams and her food for years, so was excited to try her newest venture. The dining room was packed, and as others have noted here, it is a loud experience. We were not quite sure why the music being played was so loud. We were able to hear our dinner guests, but sometimes it was a struggle. They do offer "club room" reservations for a quieter dining experience, but that looked like a room off to the back. Prices are high. The food and drink were good, but hard to justify the price of some items. I've posted photos of the menu, as they don't post prices on the website. Overall, we enjoyed all of the food sampled. Salads, bread service, appetizers were generous portions. I would have preferred a smaller portion at a reduced price. Our server advised that the dishes were shareable. Service was good, but there was an issue at a critical juncture of the meal. Our appetizers and drinks were done, and our server asked if we wanted another drink. We asked for a drink menu, which quickly arrived, but then nobody came to take our order for wine. Entrees were served, and mostly eaten until she returned for our drink order. At that point, I really don't want to enjoy wine as I'm eating dessert.

Loved La Padrona! Was hesitant with all the mixed reviews but I'm so glad I gave it a chance!Swanky and moody, great for a date night or special dinner out. Service was excellent, food was incredible, and ambiance was high-end and beautiful. The cacio e pepe focaccia was delicious, the bucatini alla napoletana was amazing even though it's such a simple entree, and the vanilla gelato was decadent and interesting with a balsamic drizzle and olive oil croutons. This place is pricey but I'll definitely be back!!

I had no idea what to expect stepping into La Padrona, but left in awe of this miraculous team and their incredible cuisine. A newer Boston restaurant has definitely found their sea legs and is flourishing. Walking into this place is like an architectural digest review, each inch carefully curated. We were seated in a gorgeous booth in the back that set a perfect tone for the night. Our server and their team was kind, thorough, personable, and quickly knew what to suggest as the night went on. I was so impressed. While my camera didn't take the best photos, trust me when I say that this stands in a town known for Italian food. My top hits: - the bread was magnificent and decadent with a bunch of fresh Parmesan on top - the ricotta and celery root agnolotti surprised me and was my absolute favorite main with delicate, yet complex flavors and beautifully balanced - the dirty martini brought a smile to my face with the unique presentation, perfect execution and ample accoutrements - the Florentine cannolis were perfectly crafted, offered a delicate lacy shell and beautiful filling for a more unique take on the classic cannoli Will absolutely be visiting again and next time I will go to the speakeasy too.

We spent Thanksgiving in Boston and chose La Padrona for our holiday dinner--and it did not disappoint. The venue is stunning, with dim lighting and a gorgeous bar at its center, creating the perfect atmosphere. The service was outstanding, from the welcoming host to the attentive sommelier and our server, who memorized all our names and was very attentive. The Thanksgiving menu featured a mix of their menu favorites and fall classics. I had the turkey dinner, and it was fantastic--comforting and true to tradition, even for an Italian spot. It made us feel right at home for the holiday. Knocking a star because my stuffed pasta appetizer's filling was fridge cold and the pumpkin pie dessert wasn't the best. While it's definitely a splurge, La Padrona is perfect for special occasions. Highly recommend!

Fancy restaurant that is good for an elevated dining experience. I wouldn't say you have to dress up but it wouldn't be fitting to come in sweats. The service was great and they were very attentive. Between appetizer, main course and dessert, they would wipe down the table. Came with 4 others and the amount of food we ordered was just perfect! The food here is meant to be shared according to our server. We got 2 appetizers (burrata and razor clams), 3 main entrees (swordfish, pasta and the porter house sharable with size of mushrooms), and some desserts (chocolate cake, panna cotta, cannot and affogato). Appetizers overall were delicious! The burrata app was unexpectedly so flavorful and razor clams were decent. Main entrees: Swordfish - sooo good and there were pieces of lobster in it. Had a really nice balance. Pasta (sorry couldn't remember the name) - the tomato sauce was wellmade and overall I reallly enjoyed this dish. There was something that had me coming back for more. Porter House - for its price, I'm not sure if it was flavored enough for me. Even pairing with the garlic, it was ok. Now the side of mushrooms were AMAZING. Bursting with flavor and with the steak on it, much better. Dessert: Overall I'd pass. Panna cotta was meh. Chocolate cake was tasty, dense and very very rich. A few bites were enough for me. Affogato, you can't really go wrong. Overall! I reallly enjoyed this spot and would come back again but the price is definitely on the higher end.

Ambiance is a vibe! It feels like a Miami or Vegas restaurant- amazing energy and the music is bumping! Service- we were seated promptly, however, it took a little longer then you'd expect for this price point to be greeted. Drinks came up a little slow at first then things were smooth sailing! Food- was top notch! Everything we got was truly amazing! The apps were so tasty and my main dish was best pasta ever had! This would be a great place for a girls dinner or fancy dinner!
